Islington Street Pastors

Final week at work rolls on. Finished my contributions to the next Circuit Magazine and nearly finished the preachers plan. Unfortunately that does not make for an interesting blog post. So instead I thought I would give a plug for Islington Street Pastors. I chair the management committee and we had a meeting this afternoon.

What is Street Pastors? Here’s the official tag line: “Street Pastors is an inter-denominational Church response to urban problems, engaging with people on the streets to care, listen and dialogue.”

That’s about it, really – Christians out late at night on our city streets, caring and listening. From its beginning in 2003 there are now over 100 Street Pastor projects around the UK.

Islington Street Pastors doesn’t have its own website, but you can find us on Facebook or check out the national UK website.
