Going home

Our room at Lee Gardens guesthouse seemed strangely familiar… then I realised why: it has similar dimensions to the mobile home we stayed in at a Haven holiday park in Suffolk, i.e. about a foot wider than the bed, with a tiny shower/toilet en suite. But it is clean, has free WiFi and a TV (albeit all the channels are in Chinese) and is well located in the busy shopping area of Tsim Sha Tsui. And it’s cheap.

It’s funny how in 4 days a neighbourhood becomes familiar… I’m sure the lady in McDonald’s smiled at me this morning. We like the convenience of the 7-11 just across the road, and Charlie Brown Cafe a few doors down.

We’ve really enjoyed our short break in HK and are leaving wanting more. Our last meal here will be Mary Ann’s birthday celebration (the second one because she had a party in the Philippines) which is a great way to end our holiday. Straight afterwards we are heading to the airport and home.
